During the early to mid 1950’s Jabel introduced its first line of concept jewelry, the Add-A-Section bracelet (FB desigs). The idea was to offer a high quality diamond bracelet that would be more affordable since it would be available in single sections. A bracelet would be purchased as a starter or as a starter plus the desired number of sections and the owner could grow their bracelet over a period of time marking those special moments in life the same way they might with a charm bracelet.The Add-A-Section bracelet quickly became a very popular and desirable piece of jewelry and remains such to this very day. The majority of our various designs are still available; even the FB10, which was the first design (see catalog page below, pricing and descriptions circa 1960).The beauty of the FB series sections is that they are consistent in structure so that additional sections always fit and are easily attached with 18KW spring pins; this eliminates the need for the owner to be without their bracelet for any length time since sections may be added “while you wait”.During the mid 1980’s Jabel introduced the Add-A-Cluster Necklace; individual round and oval diamond cluster “slide” pendants, of various carat weights, designed to be worn on 4mm wide omega necklaces. These clusters were soon dubbed “Jabel Jewels” and were featured in media ads and on billboards throughout the continental United States. As popularity grew so did the demand for the Jabel Jewels to be made available for 6mm omega necklace. The demand was immediately satisfied.
Jabel, being proactive, began producing various shapes of our slide pendants as well as offering them with colored stones. The series developed into a collection of over seventy styles. With such a variety available there are endless possibilities to mix and match to one’s personal taste; wear one cluster as a simple enhancement to your outfit or wear several, of uniform size clusters or tapering with various size clusters with or without spacers, for a truly dazzling look.The Add-A-Section bracelets and the Add-A-Cluster necklace, which use Jabel's signature domed setting, are smart choices when giving gifts such as anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, graduations, new baby or “just because”.
