Chic Brooklyn Weddings: Elaine And Candice

Congratulations Elaine and Candice

July 3, 2015

It was a beautiful evening in Brooklyn when brides Elaine and Candice said 'I do.' These former New York City residents had to get resourceful when planning their nuptials cross country from their current home in Portland, Oregon. They relied on bloggers and Pinterest to do the majority of their planing. That being said, they were successful. The wedding was fabulous, the fashion fantastic, the venue original, and, most important, their happiness was contagious!

Elaine paired her 18KT white gold classic solitaire, set with a round brilliant diamond, with a symbolic simple gold band. Complimenting Elaine's band is Candice's rose gold wedding band in a slightly wider width.PhotographyElaine and Candice hired the creative eye of photographer Michael Marmora to capture their special day. The beautiful photograph of their wedding rings, above, is just one of his many artistic photographs that captured the essence of the day.

The FashionWhen it came to fashion Elaine and Candice turned to designer and tailor Savonn of Cocoon Silk in Portland, Oregon to bring their vision to life. Elaine's wedding gown was absolute perfection! The removable cap sleeve of her vintage style wedding dress gave way to a lovely strapless party gown. Likewise, the meticulous tailoring of Candice's suit added a classic note to the wedding.

The VenueFinally, the venue and catering took place at Brooklyn's ICI French Country Kitchen in Fort Greene. This 19th century brownstone has a hidden gem, the backyard garden! According to OpenTable's blog "the garden seating that hides behind the 19th-century brownstone is positively transportive." In addition to the amazing location, the venue is recognized for its elegant modern French cuisine which uses locally sourced ingredients to create a truly memorable dining experience.
