However, unlike normal vacations, honeymoons can be a risky predicament for your new wedding band and unique engagement ring as everyone you see will want to take a look at your new rings. Some brides elect to wear a fake bridal set on their honeymoon so they can relax and enjoy the trip. While the idea of leaving your beautiful new set at home is disappointing to say the least, some brides think it best because at some point they will need to remove their rings:
- Going to the spa for a manicure
- Enjoying the pool or hot tub
- Going through airport security
Some other reasons you may want to consider leaving your special new bridal set home:
- Heirloom engagement rings and antique wedding bands that can not be replaced.
- If you are going to a location that jewelry may make your a target.
If you do plan to wear your wedding set on your honeymoon make sure you
- Have the engagement ring and wedding band properly sized so they are less likely to fall off.
- Insure them in case of theft or loss. Note: If your bridal set goes missing and you believe they have been stolen be sure to file a report with the police so you can submit the report with your claim.
- Ask for a hotel room with a safe.
