On January 1st 2012 I received the most beautiful die struckJabel cushion cut engagement ring. Tyler asked me to marry him while out on run in Central Park. It was perfect. For several months, we never talked "wedding". We enjoyed our engagement and were able to dodge the "did you pick a date" question.I always thought we would get married somewhere in Connecticut. I grew up in Connecticut and Tyler and I love to escape the city and spend weekends at my parent's house in the country. However, three years ago, my sister Catie had the most beautiful wedding right outside our house on the most gorgeous June night. Obviously, I could not do the same thing!

After a nine month engagement and having absolutely no wedding plans, we decided it would be really fun to get married on New Year's Eve in Tucson, Arizona. We love to go out to Tucson every fall to hike and relax. Tyler and I took our annual trip out there in November of 2012, and visited the Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain in Marana. After taking the tour, seeing the grounds, and having lunch, we knew this would be our first and only choice. New Year's Eve 2013-14 was available, and we are getting very excited!

Typically, a bride is supposed to choose and order her wedding ring/wedding band six months prior to the wedding. I am running behind on this and tomorrow will post the two die struckheirloom quality wedding rings I am torn between; a diamond eternity band and antique style seamless wedding band. I think both look great and would love some external opinions!
